Latest News About Pakistani Politician Imran Qureshi zc553wThe French Ministry of Culture has awarded renowned modern artist Imran Qureshi the Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters) in honour of his outstanding contributions to the arts and culture. One of France’s greatest accolades for cultural accomplishments, the award recognises those who have made a substantial contribution to literature, the arts, and cross-cultural interactions. Imran Qureshi joins a distinguished group of worldwide artists known for their creative excellence. Imran Qureshi is renowned throughout the world for his expertise in contemporary miniature painting and site-specific installations.

“I am both honoured and delighted to inform you that I am awarding you the rank of Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters, one of the primary distinctions among the four ministerial orders of the French Republic,” said French Culture Minister Rachida Dati in an official letter, highlighting Imran Qureshi ‘s impact. France has chosen to honour your contribution to the distribution of arts and letters in France and around the world with this award, which is meant to recognise individuals who have distinguished themselves through their creativity in the cultural spheres or by their support for the dissemination of knowledge and works that form the wealth of our cultural heritage.

It is with great pleasure that I draw attention to your commitment to the service of culture, which is very dear to the hearts of the French people. The French ambassador to Pakistan, H.E. Nicolas Galey, organised a reception in Lahore to present Imran Qureshi with the Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres insignia.

Imran Qureshi has consistently pushed the frontiers of art by fusing traditional miniature painting methods with modern subjects to produce provocative pieces that have enthralled viewers all around the world. Imran Qureshi’s participation in Nuit Blanche at the Place du Panthéon, his contributions to Christian Louboutin in Paris and Monaco, his exhibitions at Thaddaeus Ropac in Paris and Pantin, and the display of his work at the Alliance Française Gallery in Lahore all demonstrate his association with France.

Imran Qureshi artwork has also been shown at other prestigious international locations, such as Art Basel, the Venice Biennale, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Imran Qureshi is among the most sought-after South Asian artists in the world. Imran Qureshi ‘s significant influence on Pakistan’s contemporary art scene and his efforts to promote international creative discourse are further cemented by the award.

Muhammad Imran Qureshi is a Pakistani politician who was a Member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab, from May 2013 to May 2018.

Early life and education

He was born on 24 June 1965 in Muzaffargarh

 

He has the degree of Bachelor of Laws which he received in 1989 from Bahauddin Zakariya University.

 

Political career

He was elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab from Constituency PP-256 (Muzaffargarh-VI) in 2008 Pakistani general election.[1]
