On Thursday, the Prince of Wales celebrated his wife Catherine, Princess of Wales, turning 43, by sharing a birthday message on social media.
William commended:
William commended his wife in the message he sent to X, writing: “To the most incredible wife and mother.” Over the past year, you have demonstrated incredible strength. I am really proud of you, as are George, Charlotte, and Louis. Catherine, happy birthday. You are loved by us. W.
A never-before-seen black and white photograph of the Princess of Wales, taken in Windsor last summer by photographer Matt Porteous, was sent with the letter.
Catherine has been undergoing cancer treatment for the past year and has been out of the spotlight for a while.
She declared in September that she had finished chemotherapy, but she warned that there was still a long way to go before she recovered.
She visited the grieving relatives of three children slain in a knife assault in Southport, northwest England, in October, marking her first public appearance since undergoing treatment.
Since April 2011, Kate, the princess, has been wed to William, the current heir to the British throne.
The Prince William and Princess of Wales have a custom of releasing pictures on significant family events, such as wedding anniversaries, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, and birthdays.
The family shared a humorous picture of William diving off a sand dune while holding hands with his kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, in June to commemorate his 42nd birthday.
